stadium experience

tifo

Recent live football: many Supers and Dallas at home. Great times.

Tifo image archives and projects coming…in the meantime, check out the ECS “tifo 101” page — it’s a good read.

This makes me imagine what a full-scale smsupers tifo display could potentially be…maybe sometime, ever.

songs and chants

Take ‘Em All

Sounders defeat civilian conservation corp, US Open Cup 09:

stadium-wide

These songs and chants seem to have the potential to be successful most quickly:

Seeeaaaaaattle – Sooooooundeeerrrss

The crowd-favorite call and repeat directed from south to north already in effect stadium-wide — and it’s a great start. (It seemed early coordination between NES (north end supporters) and ECS planted the seeds for this one…more good stuff from collaboration between various supporters groups.) This more-than-slightly-repetitive “marco – polo” really does draw the entire stadium together into a powerful and ESPN-catchy display of community participation. Qwest Faithful are ready for more.

Boom Boom Clap –> into Sounders Clap Clap Clap

I can’t recall through the fog, is this regularly implemented? It feels oddly familiar….

We’re the Brougham, West End, North End, East End, We’re the Brougham Over Here

Once this joins the repertoire of 116-129 (all of Brougham End) it will spark the ire of surrounding sections and they’ll rep their stand.

Bluest Skies

Modified Perry Como. It’s ridiculously fun and un-objectionable — and the team’s adopted it. But will it really get sung? [Editor: have noticed increasing efforts advocating this song should not be the Sounders' banner.]

Oh To Be A Sounder

This is definitely a favorite. It’ll wear your lungs out, but that’s why you’re super.

Please, don’t hesitate to fill the comment section with hate, modifications or new chants. Poetics, lyrics and video links posted in the comments will be added to the page. As will rhinos.
